Description
This beautiful heated Montana sapphire is a rare color change gem. It’s a steely-grey color under daylight, while under incandescent light, the color changes to a purple. The color was developed by heating the gem, but no other treatments were made to the gem. The treatment is permanent and stable and not only develops the color, but also improves the clarity. This sapphire has very small inclusions that are quite difficult to see with the naked eye from a normal viewing distance.
This sapphire is faceted in a custom Asscher-style square design, optimized for sapphire and cut to high precision; the result is a glittering beauty of a gemstone. The gem weighs 0.60 carats and measures 4.8 x 3.0 mm. It would make an amazing center stone for a unique and one-of-a-kind engagement ring!

Video Request
Although we do our best to take the highest quality images, sometimes it can be difficult to envision how it will look on your hand. We can take a video of up to four gems side by on the hand to help you compare them and see how they perform in daylight. Please provide the following information, and include the SKU numbers or links to the stones you would like to see a video of.
Please note that we don’t do 360-degree videos as colored gems are optimized to be viewed face up, and because the current technology is such that none of the 360-degree systems we have tested provides the accurate color. Our desire is to present the most honest and accurate color possible!
