Description
This beautiful unheated Montana sapphire is a unique combination of yellow and pale aqua. The gem shows flashes of the two colors, creating a “particolored” effect. This sapphire is completely natural and untreated in any way. There is a slight haze to the gem from undissolved rutile silk, but it gives the gem a soft glow that is quite pleasing and enhances the color in low light. There may be tiny inclusions that are visible only with a 10x loupe. The inclusions and haze have been factored into the price, making this a great value for the size and color.
This sapphire is faceted in a modified version of the classic diamond round brilliant design, optimized for sapphire; the result is a glittering beauty of a gemstone. The gem weighs 0.74 carats and measures 5.6 mm x 3.5 mm.
