0.80-Carat Sky Blue Montana Sapphire (Heated)

Description

This lovely heated Montana sapphire is a gorgeous sky blue color, reminiscent of the “Big Skies” of Montana.  The color was developed by heating the gem in Montana, but no other treatments were made to the gem. The treatment is permanent and stable and not only develops the color, but also improves the clarity. This sapphire has slight inclusions that are just barely visible to the unaided eye. The inclusions are mostly tucked into one corner where they can be hidden under a prong when the gem is set.  The inclusions have been factored into the price, making this a great value for the size and color.

This gem is faceted in our custom “Helena” brilliant oval design, created and optimized for sapphire; the result is a glittering beauty of a gemstone. The gem weighs 0.80 carats and measures 5.8 mm x 4.9 mm x 3.6 mm; the perfect size for an engagement ring.
