Description
This beautiful unheated Montana sapphire is a pale lavender–an uncommon color in the Montana gems. I rarely have sapphires in emerald cuts because it requires very high clarity, and the shape of the crystals is rarely suited to an emerald cut. This sapphire has very good clarity for an unheated Montana gem; while there is a very light amount of silk, its not easily visible in the hand without a 10x loupe. There’s also a tiny feather tucked off in one corner, but its also not visible with a loupe, and would be hidden under a prong when set.
This sapphire was faceted in a classic emerald cut, optimized for sapphire. The result is a sparkling gem weighing 0.87 carats and measuring 5.6 x 4.6 x 3.2 mm. This would make a very unique stone for a one-of-a-kind engagement ring!

Video Request
Although we do our best to take the highest quality images, sometimes it can be difficult to envision how it will look on your hand. We can take a video of up to four gems side by on the hand to help you compare them and see how they perform in daylight. Please provide the following information, and include the SKU numbers or links to the stones you would like to see a video of.
Please note that we don’t do 360-degree videos as colored gems are optimized to be viewed face up, and because the current technology is such that none of the 360-degree systems we have tested provides the accurate color. Our desire is to present the most honest and accurate color possible!
