This beautiful unheated Montana sapphire is a rare color for Montana–a gorgeous pale violet-pink. I rarely have sapphires in emerald cuts because it requires very high clarity, and the pink Montana sapphires in particular tend to be included. While the macro image shows some tiny inclusions, they are not visible in the hand without a 10x loupe. There is a very tiny amount of wispy rutile silk in the stone as well, but like the inclusions, its not visible without a loupe. This is a very bright and flashy eye clean gemstone.
This sapphire was faceted in a classic emerald cut, optimized for sapphire. The result is a sparkling gem weighing 2.02 carats and measuring 8.0 x 5.6 x 4.3 mm. This would make a very unique stone for a one-of-a-kind ring!
