Description
This beautiful heated Montana sapphire is a gorgeous deep blue-green. The color was developed by heating the gem in Montana, but no other treatments were made to the gem. The treatment is permanent and stable and not only develops the color, but also improves the clarity. This sapphire has very small inclusions that are quite difficult to see with the naked eye from a normal viewing distance. There is also a slight haze to the gem from undissolved rutile silk, but it gives the gem a soft glow that is quite pleasing and enhances the color in low light. The inclusions and haze have been factored into the price, making this a great value for the size and color.
This sapphire is faceted in our custom “Eureka” brilliant rectangle cushion design, created and optimized for sapphire. The result is a glittering beauty of a gemstone. The gem weighs 2.56 carats and measures 8.7 x 6.5 x 5.4 mm; the perfect size for an engagement ring.
