Description
This gorgeous heated Madagascar sapphire is a beautiful royal blue–one of the most desirable hues for a sapphire. In recent decades Madagascar has become famed for its finds of many gemstones, but in particular some of the most beautiful rich blue sapphires found in the last 100 years. This is an excellent example of some of the finest blue sapphires produced from Madagascar. This sapphire appears to be nearly flawless. There are no visible inclusions, even when examined with a 10x loupe. It has been heated to improve both the color and clarity. It comes with a Gemological Institute of America report indicating that it has been heated and with their opinion that the origin is Madagascar. The report number as well as our logo and internal SKU number are laser-engraved on the girdle.
The sapphire has been precision faceted here in the US in a beautiful classic oval design; the resulting gemstone is a glittering beauty! The sapphire weighs 2.96 carats and measures 8.7 x 7.1 x 5.4 mm. It would make the perfect gem for a unique engagement ring!

Video Request
Although we do our best to take the highest quality images, sometimes it can be difficult to envision how it will look on your hand. We can take a video of up to four gems side by on the hand to help you compare them and see how they perform in daylight. Please provide the following information, and include the SKU numbers or links to the stones you would like to see a video of.
Please note that we don’t do 360-degree videos as colored gems are optimized to be viewed face up, and because the current technology is such that none of the 360-degree systems we have tested provides the accurate color. Our desire is to present the most honest and accurate color possible!
