Description
This lovely heated Montana sapphire is a gorgeous teal blue, one of the finest shades of blue found in the Montana gems. This sapphire has been subject to traditional heat treatment in Montana to improve the color and clarity, but no other treatments have been applied. The treatment is permanent and stable. This sapphire has slight inclusions that are just barely visible to the naked eye. It looks better in person than the photo implies. The inclusions have been factored into the price, making this a great value for the size and color.
This sapphire is faceted in my custom “Aurora” brilliant square cushion design that I’ve created and optimized for sapphire; the resulting gemstone is bright and scintillating in the hand. The gem weighs 3.37 carats and measures 10.0 across the points, 8.1 across the flats, and has a depth of 5.8 mm. It would make an amazing center stone for a unique and one-of-a-kind engagement ring.
