0.92-Carat Lavender-Orange Particolored Montana Sapphire (Heated)

Description

This heated Montana sapphire is a unique combination of light lavender purple with a streak of orange. The gem shows flashes of the two colors, creating a “particolored” effect. The color was developed by heating the sapphire in Montana, but no other treatments were used. The treatment is permanent and stable and not only develops the color, but also improves the clarity. It has excellent clarity, making it bright and scintillating in the hand. There may be tiny inclusions that are visible only with a 10x loupe.

This sapphire is faceted in our modified version of the classic diamond round brilliant design, optimized for sapphire and cut to “hearts-and-arrows” precision. The gem weighs 0.92 carats and measures 5.9 x 3.8 mm.
