1.54-Carat Rich Blue Montana Sapphire (Heated)

Description

This heated Montana sapphire is a classic rich blue color, one of the more desirable colors for sapphire. The color was developed by heating the sapphire in Montana, but no other treatments were used. The treatment is permanent and stable and not only develops the color, but also improves the clarity. It has excellent clarity, making it bright and scintillating in the hand. There may be tiny inclusions that are visible only with a 10x loupe.

This sapphire is faceted in our “Sparkling Snowflake” hexagon design and cut to high precision; the result is a glittering beauty of a gemstone. The gem weighs 1.54 carats and measures 7.2 mm across the points, 6.6 mm across the flats, and is 4.5 mm deep.
