Description
This unheated Montana sapphire is a gorgeous, ever-shifting gray-green. The color picks up gray tones in incandescent light, lime green tones in LED light, and aqua tones in daylight. The gem is 100 percent natural and untreated in any way. This sapphire has very small inclusions that are quite difficult to see with the unaided eye from a normal viewing distance. The inclusions have been factored into the price, making this a great value for the size and color. There is a patch of natural rutile silk under the table that will flash a silvery shimmer in certain lights and lends the whole gem a soft glow. This fascinating feature is proof positive of its unheated nature, and even displays a hexagonal pattern indicative of the sapphire’s crystal structure.
This sapphire comes with a special GIA “Sapphire Origin and Traceability” report that records the gem first as the rough uncut stone direct from the mine, and then as the finished cut gemstone. The report number is 6224304201 and can be verified on the GIA website; see attached image of the report in the image gallery.
This sapphire is faceted in our “Serendipity” brilliant oval design and cut to high precision; the result is a glittering beauty of a gemstone. The gem weighs 8.99 carats and measures 13.5 x 10.9 x 8.1 mm.

Video Request
Although we do our best to take the highest quality images, sometimes it can be difficult to envision how it will look on your hand. We can take a video of up to four gems side by on the hand to help you compare them and see how they perform in daylight. Please provide the following information, and include the SKU numbers or links to the stones you would like to see a video of.
Please note that we don’t do 360-degree videos as colored gems are optimized to be viewed face up, and because the current technology is such that none of the 360-degree systems we have tested provides the accurate color. Our desire is to present the most honest and accurate color possible!
