Description
This gorgeous Montana sapphire is lovely light pink color. Completely natural and untreated, this is the color of the gem just as it formed deep in the earth, millions of years ago. This sapphire has good clarity, with a minor amount of natural rutile needles and clouds and one feather inclusion, just barely visible to the unaided eye. The inclusion and silk have been factored into the price. Unheated natural sapphires with good clarity like this are quite rare; each year we are only able to cut about 5-7% of our rough without having it heated.
This sapphire was faceted in the United States in our “Helena” brilliant oval design and cut to high precision; the result is a glittering beauty of a gemstone. The gem weighs 0.61 carats and measures 5.3 x 4.5 x 3.4 mm.
