An unusual pink and violet bicolored unheated sapphire from Montana, 0.68 carats.

Description
This unusual unheated sapphire is a gorgeous combination of both pink and violet–a rare and unique combination. The dominant overall color in daylight is a medium violet, but you can see the zone of pink in the hand, just less prominently than the photo shows. Under incandescent light the color shifts to more uniform lavender-pink hue. The gem has excellent clarity, with just a tiny amount of natural rutile silk present. The high clarity makes this a very bright and scintillating gemstone in the hand.
This sapphire is faceted in the classic diamond round brilliant design, optimized for sapphire and cut to “hearts and arrows” precision. It weighs 0.68 carats and measures 5.2 x 3.3 mm. It would make an amazing center stone for a beautiful engagement ring!

Video Request
Although we do our best to take the highest quality images, sometimes it can be difficult to envision how it will look on your hand. We can take a video of up to four gems side by on the hand to help you compare them and see how they perform in daylight. Please provide the following information, and include the SKU numbers or links to the stones you would like to see a video of.
Please note that we don’t do 360-degree videos as colored gems are optimized to be viewed face up, and because the current technology is such that none of the 360-degree systems we have tested provides the accurate color. Our desire is to present the most honest and accurate color possible!
