A gorgeous little blue-green to purple-magenta color-change garnet from Kenya, 0.88 carats.

Description
This garnet comes from a relatively new deposit in Kenya which has had very limited production of gem rough. Even more limited are gems that display the deepest color change like this one–a beautiful deep blue-green to a rich red-violet. They are generally very small and often quite included. This particular stone has a veil of bubbles and a small nick near one edge, but in the hand it appears very clean; I’d rate it a VS on clarity. It measures 6.2 x 5 mm and weighs 0.88 carats.
