A beautiful rich peacock blue unheated sapphire in a classic emerald cut, 1.74 carats.

Description
This unheated sapphire is a shade of rich blue with a hint of green, reminiscent of a peacock’s feathers. The gem is 100 percent natural and untreated in any way. The gem was upcycled from a vintage piece of jewelry, and based on gemological evidence, we believe it is from Madagascar. It has excellent clarity, making it bright and scintillating in the hand. There may be tiny inclusions that are visible only with a 10x loupe.
The sapphire has been recut in the United States to improve the brilliance; it is faceted in a classic emerald cut. It weighs 1.74 carats and measures 6.8 x 6.3 x 4.2 mm.
