Description
This gorgeous pink tourmaline is a rich “bubblegum” pink color. The gem rough this was cut from was sourced from the famous Stewart Mine in Pala, California. Gems from the Stewart mine are renowned for their rich pure pink color with no brown overtones. However, they are becoming extremely difficult to find as the mine has been closed from active mining for several decades, with just occasional small-scale hand mining occurring, the last back in 2012. This gem was cut from a small parcel of rough I acquired from one the miners who did that work; it was part of his “miners cut” of the finds.
This beautiful tourmaline is a bright pink color–a classic California tourmaline hue. The gem is 100 percent natural and untreated in any way. It has has very small inclusions that are quite difficult to see with the unaided eye from a normal viewing distance. The inclusions have been factored into the price, making this a great value for the size and color.
This tourmaline was personally faceted in the United States by Jeffrey Hapeman in our “Topangle” trillion design and cut to high precision; the result is a glittering beauty of a gemstone. It weighs 3.02 carats and measures 9.0 x 6.8 mm.

Although we do our best to take the highest quality images, sometimes it can be difficult to envision how it will look on your hand. We can take a video of up to four gems side by on the hand to help you compare them and see how they perform in daylight. Please provide the following information, and include the SKU numbers or links to the stones you would like to see a video of.
Please note that we don’t do 360-degree videos as colored gems are optimized to be viewed face up, and because the current technology is such that none of the 360-degree systems we have tested provides the accurate color. Our desire is to present the most honest and accurate color possible!
