Classic “Daphne” lets the center stone shine with a subtle split shank. This solitaire ring comes complete with a 3.03-Carat Near Black Australian Heated Sapphire. This style features a dainty 2mm split shank and four prongs.

This Australian sapphire is a such a dark shade of blue-green it is nearly black in all but the brightest lights. We source our Australian rough from small-scale artisanal gem miners that work the Anakie gem fields by hand for minimal environmental disruption. While the rough we cut this from was purchased as unheated, it is very old stock material, and we believe that some of it may have been heated. Consequently, we presume it has been subject to standard heat treatment, which has been factored into the price. Heat treatment is permanent and stable and not only develops the color, but also improves the clarity. This stone has slight inclusions that are just barely visible to the unaided eye. The inclusions have been factored into the price, making this a great value for the size and color. This sapphire was faceted in the United States in our “Eureka” brilliant rectangle cushion design and cut to high precision; the result is a glittering beauty of a gemstone. The gem weighs 3.03 carats and measures 9.2 x 6.9 x 5.7 mm.

This ring is made from 14k yellow gold, and while it is currently US size 5.25, it can be resized. Please allow approximately one week for shipping if resizing is required.
