The milgrain “Cathedral” is an elegant answer to a timeless ring. This ring comes complete with a 1.42-carat Mahenge garnet. This style features a four-prong cathedral-style setting as well as vintage-inspired milgrain detailing on a 2mm wide band.

This garnet comes from a renowned find outside Mahenge, Tanzania. Production has diminished dramatically since 2015, so these garnets are in very limited supply and the prices for the rough have increased dramatically in recent years. They have outstanding brilliance and dispersion that gives them a beautiful fire in the hand. This gem is a gorgeous bright fuchsia pink color. The gem is 100 percent natural and untreated in any way. It was cut from rough sourced from Mahenge, Tanzania. It has very small inclusions that are quite difficult to see with the unaided eye from a normal viewing distance. The inclusions have been factored into the price, making this a great value for the size and color. This garnet was faceted in the United States in our “Hyperbola” brilliant oval design and cut to high precision; the result is a glittering beauty of a gemstone. The gem weighs 1.42 carats, and measures 7.2 x 6.2 x 4.5 mm.

This milgrain “Cathedral” ring is made from 14k yellow gold, and while it is currently US size 7, it can be resized from approximately size 5 to size 9. Please allow approximately one week for shipping if resizing is required.
