This beautiful unheated Madagascar sapphire is a gorgeous light yellow. This sapphire is completely natural and untreated in any way. This sapphire has very small inclusions that are quite difficult to see with the unaided eye from a normal viewing distance; these tiny crystals are sometimes referred to as “sugar” in the gem trade, and are less noticeable in person than the photo would imply.
This sapphire was faceted in the United States in our “Helena” brilliant oval design and cut to high precision; the result is a glittering beauty of a gemstone. The gem weighs 1.70 carats and measures 7.6 x 6.4 x 4.8 mm.
