A beautiful bluish green Madagascar sapphire in a classic round design, 4.29 carats.

Description
This sapphire is a gorgeous blue-tinted rich green. It shows indications of heat treatment; heat treatment is permanent and stable and not only develops the color, but also improves the clarity. This sapphire was acquired directly from a reputable gem dealer, and based on gemological evidence, we believe it is from Madagascar. The sapphire has excellent clarity, making it bright and scintillating in the hand. There may be tiny inclusions that are visible only with a 10x loupe. There is also a slight haze to the gem from undissolved rutile silk that gives the gem a soft glow.
The sapphire was faceted outside the United States in a classic round design. The gem weighs 4.29 carats and measures 9.3 x 6.5 mm.
